Program:
Students are among the most dedicated and selfless volunteers in our society, and we believe that should not go unrecognized. Through the Altruition platform, students who are expected to face affordability challenges with post-secondary tuition costs can generate scholarship credit by volunteering with eligible charities and community groups. Scholarships are earned based on the amount of time volunteered. After graduation from high school, the accumulated scholarship credit will be available for students to pursue their higher education aspirations.

Raven Indigenous Capital Partners provides access to capital for the Raven Indigenous Impact Foundation which provides education, training and funding opportunities to indigenous entrepreneurs in an effort to equip them with the resources and knowledge needed to grow successful businesses. The foundation's community driven approach is based on indigenous values and focuses on impact investing to finance social good initiatives.
ERIC MING COMMUNITY HERO SCHOLARSHIP

This memorial scholarship celebrates the life of Eric Ming, a community hero with a passion for volunteerism, basketball, and giving back to all facets of his community. Using a joint means-based and achievement-based assessment approach, the scholarship is awarded to one male and one female graduating student from a public Vancouver secondary school each year to assist with post-secondary costs.
$10aDAY CHILD CARE PLAN FOR BRITISH COLUMBIA

Partnered with Early Childhood Educators of BC to commission an examination of the proposed $10aday Child Care Plan for the province of British Columbia prepared by C4SE. The focus of the study was to estimate the socioeconomic impact of implementing and operating the proposed ten dollars a day child care plan for the province of British Columbia.

Africa Today Film Series (2010) highlighted both the diversity of a flourishing continent and its emerging cinema scene. Revolution + Empowerment On Screen (2011), a festival theme focused on personal empowerment, social activism and recent political upheaval. Spotlight on the Short Film Program (2012). From 2014 to present, we sponsored the Great Divide Series, which addressed the wide-ranging effects of inequality throughout the world.
HONOUR HOUSE SOCIETY

The annual Adrian Oliver Memorial Run was established in memory of Constable Adrian Oliver, a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, who was killed in the line of duty in Surrey, British Columbia in November 2012. Proceeds raised from the Run are directed to Honour House. The Honour House Society is a home away from home for Canadian Forces personnel, emergency services personnel and their families to stay, completely free of charge, while they are receiving medical care and treatment in the Metro Vancouver area.
STRATHCONA BOYS AND GIRLS BASKETBALL CLUB

An inner-city basketball program for boys and girls aged pre-K to Grade 12 in Vancouver with the objectives of providing a safe and positive environment for young athletes, as well as access to facilities, equipment and nutrition programs in Vancouver’s downtown eastside

The Vancouver Fringe Theatre Society's mission is: Cultivating artists and audiences to create an open and vibrant independent theatre community. The society mounts the annual 11-day Vancouver Fringe Festival; an un-juried, un-censored, and accessible theatre festival featuring hundreds of theatre artists and over 700 performances. Within the Festival, the Lochmaddy Foundation specifically funds the Dramatic Works Series which features previously published dramatic scripts. The society also produces Theatre Wire, which promotes local independent theatre and provides sales and marketing to Vancouver’s independent theatre companies.

New Forms facilitates multimodal art works and engages in discussion on their role in our cultural environment. Since its inception, an integral element of the NFF is the recognition of independent and groundbreaking artists; the NFF aims to showcase and increase awareness of these artists and their work. The NFF is part of a larger, international, multi-media festival movement, which explores the ever changing and evolving world of art and creates a platform for artistic growth.
